Aesthetic heightening surgery is a surgical procedure to increase the height of people by a desired amount. During this process, a certain area of the bones is cut and a gap is created between them. This gap is gradually widened by a device that applies some form of pulling force. This is done slowly and in a controlled manner, without breaking or crushing the bone tissue.
This method works through a process known as distraction osteogenesis (pull osteogenesis), which is a natural biological feature of bones. When bones are slowly separated by pulling forces, the body produces new bone tissues and soft tissues, causing the bones to close this gap and become longer.
After the surgery, new bone tissue and soft tissue combine to strengthen the bones and allow the stretched area to heal safely. This procedure is often used to lengthen long bones such as the femur (upper leg bone), tibia (lower leg bone), and humerus (upper arm bone).
According to studies, there is no permanent side effect in the long term as long as the patient stays within safe limits.
These:
• Femoral bones up to 8 cm (Upper Legs)
• Tibia bones up to 6 cm (Lower Legs)
• Humerus bones up to 6cm (Upper Arm Extension)
The most popular and common devices used for lengthening surgery are intramedullary nails and external fixation devices.
Intramedullary nails are a device that is inserted into the bone and provides bone elongation. These devices are used to fill the gap formed after the bone has been cut. Intramedullary nails are also designed to reduce the risk of infection of the external environment during bone healing.
External fixation devices, on the other hand, use an external device to hold the bones together. These devices are used to keep the bones in a fixed position, to ensure bone healing and to initiate the elongation process. External fixation devices are located outside the bone and often consist of rods, pins and wires.
Both methods have been used successfully and doctors decide which method to use based on patient condition and preference.
LON METHOD (EXTENSION WITH NAIL AND FIXATOR)
The Lengthening Over Nail (LON) Method is currently the most applied and preferred by patients in the world, due to its high reliability and low cost compared to other methods.

The stabilizers will be removed when you reach your height goal. But the extension nails will stay in your bones for 1.5-2 years and new bone fibers will form around them. PRECICE 2.2 METHOD OF LENGTH EXTENSION WITH MAGNETIC NAILS
PRECICE 2.2 is a magnetic intramedullary extension system. This method increases the length of the legs through magnetic interaction between a magnetic nail (PRECICE nail) inside the bones and the remote control unit (ERC).
This method is especially suitable for adults who are short for various reasons and are not suitable for other lengthening methods. PRECICE 2.2 is specifically designed to minimize a number of side effects such as pain and discomfort.
During surgery, a surgeon inserts PRECICE nails into the bones by cutting the bones (osteotomy). Extension is accomplished by controlling a magnetic field on the magnetic nail using a magnet of the remote control unit. The remote control unit uses a gear mechanism that separates the bones at a certain speed via a motor on the nail.
The lengthening process begins after a week, approximately 1mm per day. An increase in length of one centimeter is usually achieved in about 10 days. Post-surgery nails usually stay between 1 and 1.5 years, during which time new bone tissue forms around the nails. PRECICE nails can remain for many years without the need for surgical intervention.

QUADRILATERAL LENGTH EXTENSION SURGERY
Quadrilateral limb lengthening surgery means that both the Femur (Thigh bones) and Tibia (Female) will be operated on at the same time. Quadrilateral surgery options are either Femur PRECICE+Tibia PRECICE or LON Method and Femur PRECICE+Tibia.
Quadrilateral leg lengthening surgery allows patients to extend their legs up to 12-14cm / 5-5.5inch in 3 months!
